After the last update to Firefox I keep getting access denied on some websites for example Lowes.com. I saw where to check security and mine is set to standard, so no joy there. I'm not a computer savvy person but I can manage with the direction and input. That being said, what can I do to fix this. I've always used Firefox but lately had to use Edge or Chrome, not my first choice. So what changed in Firefox to cause this issue as I see on your message board for several people?

When you reply, how do I know you did without me checking constantly? Do you send an email through Thunderbird to notify?

Do you use a VPN? If so, they can sometimes block certain websites. You have to disable the VPN or at least "pause" it for however long seems right to you. (The VPN will automatically become active again after the pause period is over.) Disable the VPN, then try to access the sites that are blocking you, e.g., lowes.com .

Turned off VPN and still had same issue.

I'm also having this problem. If I go into settings and clear data and cookies I can access the main page, but as soon as I perform a search I get blocked again.

Also having a different problem with chemeketa.edu's "my chemeketa" page. It either gives me various error messages before I get to the log-in screen, or after entering correct username and PW, it just times out while loading. Have to access it with Chrome, ugh.

Figured out the problem for Lowes: The Disable JavaScript extension was set to disable java script for lowes.com. No idea how that happened. I turned it off, and also went into extension settings so it disables by tab, not by domain (so if you disable once for a website, it wont do it again). Once I did that then cleared the site data it worked.

I also got it working for the other problem I mentioned: I got rid of several unused extensions, including a VPN one (VPN wasn't running) that had control of security settings, as well as removed a firefox study for enhanced cookie protection. As I did multiple things before trying the my chemeketa student portal, I'm not sure which one fixed it.
