Why does system fonts look bad in new Firefox? - No Anti-Aliasing?

Hello, in the last few days (after autoupdate?) the fonts in firefox look terrible. Some fonts are ok, but some are broken. I think the downloaded fonts are ok, but the Standardfonts (Arial, Courier new etc.) look like this (from another user): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11298382/ff-text-fail.png I have updated my driver, but the last version is still to old. I have disables hardware accelaration, no effect.. Do you have any idea how to fix this behavior?

Thank you very much (and sorry for my english) :)

hi HWiller, this is probably caused by microsoft update kb3013455 which can cause font rendering issues on vista:

After you install security update 3013455, you may notice some text quality degradation in certain scenarios. The problem only occurs on systems that are running Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP2. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.

in order to address that you'll have to manually install this follow-up patch provided by microsoft, which should fix the problem: http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/3037639

Thank you, Phillip! I don´t know why, but it works for me. After Installing the patch, I can read the small "Arial" letters again :)
