When I try to use Google shopping I can view the items I am looking for but when I click on them for more detail nothing happens. I cannot go beyond the initial search page regardless of the company or product. I am using version 21.0. I can access everything if I use IE10/Google shopping but not Firefox.

This is only a problem in Google shopping. When I do other searches using Google/Firefox I am able to proceed to the web pages I click on with no problem.

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
