Sync erased my bookmarks
I've been a Firefox user since before the beginning. I used the original Netscape 1.0.
Tonight I did one thing: add my Android Tablet browser to sync.
IT IMMEDIATELY ERASED ALL MY GODDAMN BOOKMARKS!
I realize that sync is not a form of backup but the one thing it should NEVER do is ERASE anything.
I've had it with this piece of crap browser. It has been steadily going downhill for a long time and I'm fed up with it. This is the last straw. It's not like there aren't alternatives.
Non-destructive alternatives.

You can try to restore the bookmarks from the most recent JSON backup that still has them in the correct folders.
Note that restoring a JSON backup will replace all current bookmarks.

Oh no, forgive me. It moved everything into "Unsorted bookmarks."
Now I get to spend the next month resorting everything.
This is really bullshit.
Try restoring your bookmarks backup from yesterday or the day before that.

That does indeed fix a problem that never should have happened in the first place.
Can someone please write a sync program that does NOT randomly scramble the database? Seems like a simply copy just isn't all that hard to implement.

This bug is now, apparently, at least three years old. Can someone fix it already?
