i can not open the webpage angel.brockport.edu because fire fox says that it is an untrusted connection but it says that the certificate is valid and won't let me add the exception.

https://angel.brockport.edu/

angel.brockport.edu uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate expired on 11/18/2011 5:59 PM.

(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)

Argh! The problem is that the it is the *exception* handler that is not allowing the exception to be added! It says there is no need to add an exception because the certificate is valid. Either it's valid or not, but one piece of firefox should not disagree with another!

We have been made fully aware that the certificate isn't valid. We *want* the certificate to be accepted, in this case because it is out of date but *was* known to be valid. It is an out-and-out bug, and should be fixed quickly because there are many, many places that allow certificates to expire, usually accidentally. In my case, a release of software to paying customers is being delayed.

Either Firefox allows exceptions to be added or it doesn't. If it doesn't the we have to use Chrome or some other, more user friendly, browser.

They have renewed the certificate: issued on 11/21/2011, so there is no need to add an exception.
