Chosen solution

Android 1.5 is good though as it can be stable a smooth, but it cannot support newer applications like the current mobile Firefox.

Actually if you are in the US then you could get a update to 2.1

On November 9, 2010 the upgrade was finally released to the U.S. public. The European and Latin American versions of the phone (the DEXT) will not receive the update.

The chip it uses is the Qualcomm MSM7201A which is a ARMv6 part of ARM11 family. So if you do have the Android 2.1 update installed, then the ARMv6 builds may run.

What Android version is running on your phone? Firefox for Mobile needs Android 2.0 or higher. Wikipedia suggests that the phone runs Android 1.5.

There might be some options from xda devs for example.

The Motorola CLIQ is your phone as it is known as the Motorola Dext outside of US.

If you cannot find it in Market then it usually means the hardware is not compatible. In this case the Qualcomm MSM7201A processor it uses as it is a ARMv6(ARM11) cpu and not a ARMv7 which is what the releases supports.

As I posted in my first post you can try the ARMv6 experimental nightlies. Not guaranteed to work and may be crash prone though.

My Cliq running CM4Morrison 6.2 Beta 3 (Android 2.2) Will not run the nightly ARMv6 builds. There are tens of millions of phones running this cpu. Please support it, mozilla! My fiance's droid 2 runs sunspider more than twice as fast as the stock browser. This underpowered hardware could really use that kind of boost!

It crashes during the loading screen, to be specific.
