Tools > Addons > Extensions - does it show as Incompatible with Firefox 3.6.11?

Is it enabled?

If that extension shows as being incompatible, that extension needs to be fixed by whoever created it.

The extension does not indicate it is incompatible.

Complicated extensions like the Yahoo! Toolbar that heavily rely on JavaScript can stop working at any time after an update because of security issues, so you may need to see if there is an update.

Other things that need attention:

Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.

  1. Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 8.2.4
  2. Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_16 for Mozilla browsers

Update the Java plugin to the latest version.

Update the Adobe Reader plugin to the latest version.

mine quit working BEFORE the latest update was installed. it actually stopped working about the same time that the FF update notice started getting displayed. the toolbar is there, but the icons and bookmarks do not display. seems like every time FF gets updated, something stops working!! Not talking about any fancy stuff either, just stuff like a stupid toolbar. Also would like to see the IE tab restored. Getting pretty weary of having to swap browsers to see something that FF will not display.

Try logging out of Yahoo and clearing your cookies (Tools > Clear Private Data).

The Yahoo bar is now working without my doing anything. Either an update came out or it was a server issue that was resolved. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Hello. I am the product manager for the Yahoo! Toolbar. I wanted to let everyone know we identified the problem and pushed out a fix. The toolbar should be working fine.

tTanks to everyone that called our attention to the problem early.
