email links in web page will not open

when i am on a web page and there is a link which opens your email for example to enter a competition it will not open it used to up till a week ago but now when i click it does not do anything i have tried several other web pages so it is not the web page if i go and do it through explorer i dont have a problem it opens fine

Make sure the mailto setting in Firefox is correct.
