There is this script to display that error message and redirect to the error page: <script type="text/javascript"> var browser=navigator.appName; var b_version=navigator.appVersion; var version=parseFloat(b_version); if browser=="Microsoft Internet Explorer") && (version>=4 { //alert("Your browser is good enough!"); } else { alert("You must have Internet Explorer 6.0(or above) with 128 bit encryption to access this website ."); window.location = 'IEErrorMessage.asp' } </script> The script test for the value of navigator.appName being "Microsoft Internet Explorer" and the navigator.appVersion being being at least 4 or grater (4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0) works ) Testing with changing those settings makes the site load the login page without the need to change the user agent as well, but no guarantee that the site if compatible with Firefox.
