There are times when I want to REDUCE the size of the window for message filters. Not the entire screen, just the window holding the message filters. I can increase the size by "click and drag", but I cannot REDUCE the size. Why I want to do this is unimportant. I used to be able to do this, so I know it can be fixed. It's the simple things that get lost. Regards

There are now minimum sizes. I could use the same logic here you did. Why is not important. IT is just how it is.

My request still stands. I would like to be able to resize the window for message filters. Anyone who thinks, "computer", and, "can't", in the same thought, isn't someone with whom I want to communicate.

Is there anyone out there who can forward this request/suggestion to someone who can think outside the (reduced) box?

Thanks

I did not say can't, I said there is a minimum.

Congratulations. You wantsomething that I asked for months ago. But for some reason I am supposed to do something special for you because your request stands. The answer is there is no user customizable settings for this. Perhaps there should be, but I refuse to offer support suggesting CSS which has become the new cottage industry in Thunderbird support. It is a hack that will work for perhaps a single release and is not intended for user settings. So the answer is still that there is now a minimum. It is set in the source code.

I would like to be able to reduse it as well, that is why I filed a bug. Is anything happening on that front? Not that I can see. Will it get attention? I have no idea. But I did something about in months ago. What did you do when you notice a problem? Insult me.

Perhaps you have some alternative facts to offer. because while it is a nice statement, I never said can't. But I am sure I did because you apparent chose to hear it. You certainly have options. You could rewrite the source code, you could adopt betterbird (It might still allow the smaller size) or even contribute a code fix to the already open bug. I am not a developer of JavaScript so I have done what I can, raised the bug and asked for it to be fixed or you could provide feedback or an idea via the l9ink on Thunderbird help menu.

I did it months ago. I am done here. I simply am not prepared to be lectured by you any further. I may close the topic as well as none of your options involve further discussion with me.
