I have followed all of the instructions by Toad-Hall (as far as I know ) for making categories in my calendar different colors (instead of the small bar at the right).

I have made sure that the legacy is not false I have opened Profile, added folder called chrome, copied the text given into folder called userChrome.css (this was saved as txt, which I changed to css).

I then started Thunderbird and still find that I cannot get full color in my events.

What have I done incorrectly? (I am on a Mac running Big Sur). Thunderbird version is 91.12.0

Thank you for any help.

Thanks - that worked. I had 3 profiles and assumed that the last one was the correct one. (I have no memory of creating 3 profiles.) I added the css file to all 3 profiles and found that it now works.

Toad-Hall knows best. All I might suggest is to verify you updated the correct profile.
