Many years of emails saved with TB on Win7. Moving from Win7 to Linux Mint 19.3. TB WIN = 68.8.0. TB LM = 68.7.0.

Followed and combined advisories, but never achieved old email folder structure or any of the old emails. I uninstall TB & .thunderbird, copy C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird folder to /home/ziggy/Thunderbird, move contents of Profiles to .thunderbird, delete Profiles, recursively use chown & chmod to mend file compatibilities, use dos2unix to address line-enders, edit-out the 'Profiles/' from the 2 *.ini files, rename Thunderbird folder to .thunderbird, and re-install TB.

TB always ignores my profile. I even get a sub-window that is titled 'You have launched an older version of Thunderbird', and encourages me to 'Create New Profile'.

I need my historic emails to follow me as I migrate from Windows to Linux. Please Help. Thank you.

As you can clearly see, TB 68.7.0 is older than TB 68.8.0.
