i am using the Thunderbird lightning. is there a way to show the current calendar month on the mail tab?

is there a way to show the month cal view on right hand side on the email tab/inbox tab? i can click on the dot to show the month calendar but i am not able to keep it resident. i want the appointment list, which i like but would also like to see calendar dates.

i found how to do this. Go to View, Today's Pane, click on Mini month. wallah!!
