How to set up two email accounts with different names?

I want to set up a second email account in Thunderbird. I did this before but after a while, it started sending messages from my primary account using the secondary account as a "reply to". Needless to say, it created a mess as people were responding to the "wrong" account. I ended up deleting Thunderbird completely and reinstalling only the new account. I even had to delete the profile file.

I would love to have my personal email (primary account) and the email I use for my homeowner's association both on Thunderbird but I do NOT want to have this problem again. Any idea what caused it?

Thanks

I don't know why it should spontaneously change, but each account has a setting for the default reply-to address and all you need to do is clear it if it happens again. Did you ever see the offending reply-to address shown in the list of addressees in your messages, or is there a possibility it was silently added without your knowledge?

I have 11 or so accounts set up in the Thunderbird. It's perfectly capable of running these without mixing them up.
