On Thunderbird 24.6 I can't tell it to leave messages on the server when I download or delete. Why? Where is this box that was in former versions?

Messages seem to be leaving the server after I download them or delete them and they are not then visible to a joint user of the account. There used to be a box to check on prior versions of TBird to leave messages on server, now it's gone or I can't find it because it's been moved.

Chosen solution

This option is at Tools-Account Settings-ServerSettings but is only available if the account is setup as a POP account. Since IMAP accounts are all server based the messages are always on the server and this option is not needed.
