I just updated to 30.0 on my laptop. I've never had problems before and now when I open Firefox the browser window is cut in half. I've closed and reopened the browser and have even restarted my computer and I can't find anything in the settings. I can't do anything i normally do with the window this small.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Thank you so much! It was my computer virus protection's toolbar doing it.
