Q about add-ons permission. Didn't understand, need clearance.
Hello all, have a good day! Please, help me to clear one thing: for example screenshot added. What exactly that permission means? Will it has access to my saved logs/passwords in FF? Thanks for you time.
Chosen solution
It can execute some scripts on your opened tabs, provide information badges, etc. This extension doesn't operate on your passwords. And "access" doesn't mean it's being sent anywhere.

Wow, thanks so much, very helpfull and a lot of knowledge! Now i dont want any goddamn addons.
The Web extension API is quite limited and in some cases you need a scary permission that allows a lot more than you need for a simple task. "Access your data for all websites" is one of those scary permissions and each extension that needs to inspect a website to be able to achieve its purpose needs this permission to be able to work properly. Content blocking extensions always require this permission. Only if you inspect the code of an extension you can see what parts of the permission are used and for what purpose. In theory they can monitor a web page and read a login form that is auto-filled, but only password managers would do this. You can mitigate this by disabling auto-fill of saved form data and enable the extension only when you need it.
