I have several gmail accounts in Tbird. today one has become very slow and when sending emails, it craps out when saving the outgoing msg.

I have several gmail accounts in Tbird. Starting today, one has become very slow and eventually craps out when saving a sent message. I have deleted the account and re-added it back several times. It seems to work for the first message I send and then it goes back to the spinning circle whenever I access the email. If I send a message to the account, it takes a looong time to show up. If I send a message from the account, it goes out quick, but acts like it isn't and then eventually errors out.

I have no idea where to go from here. I have been working on this for hours. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, Bruce

Tried a full restart of the device after the power has been off a couple of minutes?

I have done that several times along with restarting my modem and router. Again, all my other gmail accounts are acting perfectly. Just the one all of a sudden is having the problem.

Is there a lot of data that is synchronizing? GMail limits bandwidth, so it is possible an account can slow down because of that.

Nope. I have few (less than 20) messages stored in the account an any one time and I have compacted all the folders. The problem persists. But I am appreciative of the help and suggestions. Bruce
