Have new laptop, trying to export bookmarks and address book for transfer. Have done this many times before. Followed instruction and even tried it on one of my PCs just to make sure I wasn't the issue, worked fine like it always has in the past. But when you hit the save button on the laptop you get the error message, in thunderbird the message reads, collected addresses (or which ever address book you have selected) "There are no more files" and a button at the bottom "OK". Does the same thing for bookmarks, same error message. Both programs are up to date and have been refreshed. Have run CClean, Malwarebytes 3.0 & bitdefender free. Machine I am trying to export from is an ASUS model U50F. An older i3 machine. Running Win 10 64-bit. Am using a desktop to write this not the laptop in question.

Please consider turning on send info to Mozilla before posting a question. This helps us help you. As I have no info from your system that would help see things that cause issues.

Well I know nothing about Thunderbird, took my emails online years ago so would not have this issue.

For bookmarks Have you done Bookmarks --> Show All Bookmarks --> Import and Export --> Export as HTML  ???
