OS Windows 7/64 on two PC's OS Windows 7/32 on Laptop

FireFox version 31. on two PC's

Both pc's have the same programs and addons and gmail labs

Gmail labs in use: multiple inboxes undo send

FF addons: Awesome Screenshot Flash Video downloader LastPass My Homepage OldCompose Beta 2.2 RealDownloader Session Manager Tab Kit - Tab Highlighter 0.2.3 Tab Kit 2nd Edition Troubleshooter Xmarks Yesware email tracking

I log into three gmail accounts at the same time on both PC's

Each of these accounts has 5 inboxes...

when I've scanned and read all of the messages I wish to read, I select ALL - More - Mark as READ....

on one PC, whenever I do that procedure, the "mark all as read" is NOT present....

I only have the option to mark all as UNread...

with the last FF update, this issue began to happen on the second PC...

I disabled everything and checked...no change..

I started FF in safe mode... no change...

I disabled my antivirus software - no change

I finally tried the laptop - which had not been used for about 6 months and FF had not been updated... was still on version 27...

All of the inboxes had the option to "mark as READ"...

I posted on gmail forum and got some good suggestions... tried them all and the only thing that worked was to click on the labs escape link...

However, when I disabled the labs one at a time to see which might be a culprit, the "mark as read" was not present ....

I recently installed Avant Browser to see if I had the same issue and gmail works perfectly in Avant Browser

gmail works perfectly in Opera gmail works perfectly in Chrome

I know that there are a bazillion variables and it's really tough to pinpoint the problems.... and, I'd really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions....

for the time being, I'm going to unistall FF 31. and reinstall FF 27

thanks.....Karen

Have you cleared the cache in Firefox and turned off the labs in Gmail when you access email from Firefox?

Does it also happen in Safe Mode- this will tell you if it is an add on: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
