I never actually sign in to my account, but I use Firefox all the time. Recently I tried to save something to my pocket for the first time and it required me to sign in. I tried to change the profile information but it sent a code to my old email that no longer exists. Do I need to delete Firefox and reinstall a clean copy under a new account?

Hi Debbie, you probably need to create a new Firefox Account, but don't delete anything yet. Here's what I suggest:

(1) Back up your current data using the steps in the following article (basically, you copy a bunch of files somewhere that Firefox won't try to update them):

Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

(2) In Firefox, use the menu button to sign out of your old account. If Firefox offers to delete all your data, do NOT do that, do not delete your data.

(3) Create your new account at https://accounts.firefox.com/ and verify the new email address

(4) In Firefox, use the menu button to sign in to your new account.

If all goes well, you won't notice any change. However, if you notice data goes missing, then we can help you tap into the backup you created in Step #1.
