Its very annoying and i cnt find nothing similar to that problem on the internet. I dont know if it is related to adblock plus 2.6.3. extension on my browser or not. Yeah, and after mozzila opens that blank new window it goes to that link i clicked on (no matter if i clicked new tab or not)...so i can browse the internet but new blank windows are piling up and as i said...its very frustrating

Sounds like popup ads that are failing to load fully.

You may have an unwanted extension that is generating those. Try this:

Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.

Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Does that stop the popups?

You may still need to do a little cleanup in the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, or using scanning tools like the ones listed in our support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
