When I click the bookmarks tab it takes me to the start screen - how do I stop it doing that?

I successfully synced with my desktop tabs on a Samsung Galaxy S4 and for a while all was well. I could use the bookmarks tab and get to bookmarked sites. Later I customised the start screen so that the six panels linked to sites of my choosing. it was after that that the problems started.

Now if I try and click the bookmarks tab, instead of displaying that tab so that I can see and use my bookmarks, it instantly takes me to the start screen! The same happens if I click the history tab. The only tab I can use is the first of the three tabs. How can I fix this problem?

Without taking any action the problem went away. When I posted my question I added it to thr Reading List. Immediately after that the bookmarks tab worked fine.

I wasn't sure what your reply meant, did you mean that one of my URL links on the start page was incorrect?
