Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.

Or, if you have a supported phone, you can download the app directly by typing this address into your phone's browser: http://bit.ly/fxbeta3

What are the specific hardware requirements that are necessary to run the browser? It is a web browser there should be no reason to have a 1+ghz processor in my phone to run your app. If Mozillia can not figure out how to get their browser to run on a 200mhz processor then they really should hire new software engineers. I understand that Mozillia is building in graphics acceleration and that then this feature would then exclude various phones but it seems like a better solution would be to make this be settings enabled or have a software check that checks one's phone for a gpu and if so then utilize it. Now then if there is going to be flash support I believe last summer Google and Adobe come out saying that you needed 1+hgz for flash but I think this was more a tac to sale phones as apposed to any kind of limitation on the current generation of phones. I mean if my ancient pentium 3 computer with a sub 1ghz processor can render flash sites with no problem then there is no reason it can't be done on a phone.
