archived threads - support question

more options

Support is difficult to use because a search inevitably yields the question, which was answered along the lines of "This option is currently being tested in the Nightly build of Firefox for Android, available from the Google Play store." with that response being dated a year or two earlier, and the thread archived. I find this difficult, as it raises the immediate question, "so what happened when it was tested in the nightly build a year and a half ago?"

Is there a way to deal with this? Is there a different approach? It seems support involves entering a query string, and then browsing all previous queries and responses that contain the specified string. Is this indeed the design of the support system? Is there any effort to improve the support system?

Hi Dan, you should see a filter line that has "Help Articles Only" -- those are mostly kept up-to-date, while forum posts age rapidly. If in doubt, it's best to simply pose a new question.

I forgot to mention:

To start a new question, tap the menu button (3 horizontal bars) then expand Get Help to expose "Ask a Question", then tap Firefox for Android.
