I have created some firefox collections but have difficulty getting to the collections screen. On a collections help page it says "In the Collections section on the Home screen" but my android phone does not show a collections section, just icons. What is the problem? I also cannot figure out how to find the version of firefox that is installed, if that may be the issue.

Hi

If you tap the tab icon (square next to the address bar with a number in it) and then tap the + icon, you will be taken back to the home screen where you will be able to see your saved Collections.

I hope that this helps.

Seburo,

That procedure worked just fine. Maybe the authors of the Firefox Collections help file need to rewrite their instructions. The one procedure that has been missing is "Getting back to your collections screen."

But I must say that the steps you described are totally not obvious. Also, that box with the two eyes opens a screen that looks like a history file but it has no title to tell you what it is. The plus sign in a circle I have seen used for starting new mail or a new text message, but here it should have been the word "Collections" in a colored oval.

That's what I dislike about cell phones is that there is too much use of unexplained icons to perform a task. What you call the tab icon looks like a smaller version of the mask inside a box, which mask sometimes appears as on the Collections screen, and has something to do with private browsing. Firefox on a laptop is so much easier to use -- menus, tab pages, toolbars, dialog boxes, sensibly named buttons.

I would hope that the Firefox developers read this and use it to improve this part of the UI.

When you tap the Plus+ icon on the bottom right screen to get to your collections and bookmarks oftentimes the cursor is automatically dropped into the top search bar (which pops your keyboard, in order to type or search) BUT your collections won't show up until you touch the middle of the screen somewhere to get that cursor out of the text box and the collections immediately appear at the bottom.
