In my Firefox 25.0.1, with the exception of the 1st tab, every subsequent tab opens up to address "mixidj.delta-search.com/?affID=(...)" which I DON'T WANT.

Hello Gary2B,

to slove this problem type about:config in your URL bar and enter. Then confirm the information message in case it shows up. Search browser.newtab.url double click on it and change to the website you want.
