html file and photos subdirectory are all local and photos is nested .. tried downloading Adobe Reader and still same error message "Unable to Download File" when clicking on PDF href=xxx.pdf .. again href=yyy.jpg works fine .. am able to open PDF by going to photos/xxx.pdf and clicking, so think the PDF reader is working fine .. just not from within my HTML file with the Href

yes, that is exactly correct .. it works fine to a JPG but fails to a PDF with message "Unable to Download File .. am doing this with HTML code and the Href=photos/xxx.pdf .. any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated .. thank you ..
