I have some add-ons currently installed. However, lately, when I try to install an add-on to Firefox for Android, I get an error message stating that I must install Firefox first.

I only use Firefox on my Samsung Galaxy S5 and would like to install more add-ons. Is there some setting that would bring up the error message?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Michael

It sounds like you may have been trying to install desktop Firefox extensions in Android Firefox.

https://addons.mozilla.org/android/

You can change section at top where it says Other Applications.

I am having a similar problem. Before the latest update, I was able to manually update the Youtube Center addon manually from the developer's Github page without any trouble, however, I can no longer do that. I can now only install addons from Firefox's addon site. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but I still can no longer update that addon and the Youtube Center you have listed is outdated no longer compatible with FF mobile. I've tried FF Beta as well and can't manually install any downloaded xpi files (these are Android addons not PC) from FF's page either. Also some addons listed on your addon page won't install at all. They will say downloading addon, but will not install. I get no error messages or any pop ups asking to install like i normally would.
