The downloading indicator is continuing to indicate downloading and will not stop. I can't download any email after 2/2/16 tho the indicator continues to run.
The downloading indicator continues to run in the 'green' indicating that it is downloading email...it does not download email though it seems to never stop so indicating. By clicking a given email that was downloaded on or before 2-2-16, it can be read it but I can receive none past said date. I run regular scans with AVG and they seem to be successful in keep my windows 7 and Thunderbird clean tho today AVG found and ISOLATED 'Crypt', a trojan horse. That seemed to have NO effect upon my problem. This seems to be on one computer ( MSI ge60 i5-3230M intel core) as my others do not have that problem. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so, what is it?

Those with similar issues usually find disabling email scanning in the Anti virus program fixes the downloads issue.
