Since upgrading to 8 a lot of my Bookmarks have an empty dashline square as the Icon. Why?

Since upgrading to 8 a lot of my Bookmarks have an empty dashline square as the Icon. Instead of a small picture they are "blank" squares. This includes some on the Bookmarks Toolbar also. Never had this issue till I updated to FF8
