When saving a picture, the option "save as type" is greyed out. This doesn't happen with Chrome or Internet Explorer. I have reset the browser.

Windows hides some file extensions by default and this might be causing your issue. Try to disable the Windows feature to "Hide extensions for known file types".

Remove the checkmark in Windows File Explorer (don't know if it is still in this location).

  • File -> Change Folder and Search Options -> View -> [ ] "Hide extensions for known file types"

That worked. Thank you.

You're welcome. Thanks for confirming that this works. We have seen a few reports on Windows 10 that the "Save as Type" choice is grayed. It is not known why this happens as far as I know (maybe possible interaction with other settings).
