I just created this “temporary” account using a new, temporary email address so I could reach this forum. I have the ability to create unlimited, alternate email addresses I want to be able to use my “real” account. Here is my problem.

I tried to log into the Mozilla Support Forum with my “real” user name and the password was not recognized. The dialogue asked for my email address, I entered my Mozilla eddress, but no reset email ever arrived. I went back to the reset dialogue and entered my Thunderbird eddress, but again, no reset email.

Next clicked on “I forgot my username.” I entered my Mozilla eddress but got no response. Then I entered my Thunderbird eddress. No response. In desperation I tried using my primary eddress but again, no response.

Where is my account? How do I get my “real” account back?

The last communication FROM forums@mozillazine.org TO my Mozilla eddress USING my “real” user name was on 14-Apr-2013.

The last communication FROM Mozilla Messaging TO my Thunderbird eddress USING my “real” user name was on 22-Jan-2014.

MozillaZine is separate from this site. Do you know what username registered with? Also, there have been delays to receiving emails, and we are aware of the situation - have you checked you spam/junk folders as well?

Hello Andrew,

It has now been over 12 hours and no reset emails have been received.

I have checked both the Spam and Junk folders - nothing.

In searching my archived emails I found three 2015 emails from Mozilla Support, two with the subject “Rate your experience with the Mozilla Firefox Support”. asking me to “please fill out this survey”. The From was: Mozilla Firefox <invites@28049.mailer.surveygizmo.com>

All three were addressed to (email hidden) but none of them mentioned my username, “tref”.

Thanks, I've sent another request for your password to be reset. Let me know if you receive an email. I'll also notify our administrators as well, who will reach out to you shortly in the event you don't receive it.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your help. It has been about 3 hours since your post and I've seen no emails from Mozilla other than the notification of your post. I'm not pushing. I just don't know when I should reasonably be able to expect the reset email.
