When using Google Maps my scroll wheel zooms in and out the equivilent of 5 clicks of the normal scroll function. The maps work perfectly using chrome.

The scroll function of the mouse should allow me to zoom in or out of google maps one click at a time. This problem only exists in firefox the zoom function works in chrome and IE. I am an avid use of firefox and prefer it to all other browsers but I need it to work well with other programs.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
