Filtering or sorting folder by tags

I have messages in a local folder. Messages are assigned 1 of 3 tags based on certain criteria.

Is it possible to only view messages in the folder with one particular tag?

I tried looking at sorting, but sorting by tags is grayed out and not a sorting option. Im not sure why.

I'm running the latest version of Thunderbird. Thanks for any help you can provide.

To sort by tags, first enable the Tags column in Table View, then sorting by tags is available in Table or Cards View.

Or, enable Tags under View/Folders so that particular tags can be selected in the Folder Pane. Press Alt if the Menu Bar with View is hidden, or select View from the 3-bar menu icon.
