Viewing tags in sidebar

From the menu I can select that the sidebar contains bookmarks or history. But from the "library" (ctl-shift-b) which is similar I have select history, bookmarks or tags. Can I get the tags view in the sidebar?

Really, from the sidebar I would at least expect to be able to select a tab or drop down to get to one of the 3 possible views or having them all in one big tree view like the library.

All you need to know about sidebar http://mzl.la/1GSQjHi

Note that in your first graphic, the drop down has no option to select TAGS.

This question is about how to see TAGS in the sidebar.

hi, a bit of a workaround... you can create your own folder containing all tags and place it anywhere within an existing category in the bookmarks sidebar: right-click on the place where you want to create it and select new bookmark. Enter any custom name like "All my tags" & add the following as address:

place:type=6&sort=1&maxResults=1000

afterwards confirm this and restart firefox once for it to take effect...

Well that certainly gives me much of the functionality I was looking for -- thanks.

I will have to get used to the tree-like view rather than the two-pane view of the library which I now keep open as a separate window. But I do count on the properties view open at the bottom of the right pane so I will wish for the full library functionality in the sidebar in a future release of FF.

Now at least the tags list goes with my browser wherever I put it and that is a plus.
