security password save cannot be selected

Unable to select save passwords in the security settings, it only shows master password and i do not want to use that.

This can happen if you run Firefox in private browsing mode.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
