I had thunderbird years ago and don't have the passwords or names I used,now I would like to reinstall thunder bird but can't because it asks for the old password . Thanks

You remove any stored passwords in Thunderbird by going to the Menu Bar and selecting Tools-Options-Security-Passwords-Saved Passwords.

No menu bar showing? Press the alt key.

This is not going to help with what you are doing though. It is the email server asking for your email password. Unless you know the password for your old accounts you will need to work with the email provider to reset them.
