Yes they are separate accounts. You may have to recover the password of the addon account.

Thank you. I realized that after changing email of support.

In the meantime I was able to login Add-Ons using an email address containing a +. As I'm used to that many struggle with that, I assumed wrong. Confirmation ended in spam, sorry to bother.
