I've been using the hacked version of "New Tab Home Page" (newTabHome_0.4.3_hacked.xpi) for quite some time and it has worked well until the last few Firefox updates. I use Google as my homepage because I'm constantly searching the internet. The hacked version puts the cursor in the Google search box when I open a new tab. The regular unhacked version of New Tab Home Page places the cursor in the address bar. I found this annoying as I like to open a new tab and go directly to my search.

This worked well for many months and I'm not sure when it stopped working. I've found if I remove the Add-On (newTabHome_0.4.3_hacked.xpi) and reinstall, it works properly for a few days and the the cursor goes back to the address bar when opening a new tab. I have removed and added it several times on several different computers on different networks, all with the same result. Can someone update newTabHome_0.4.3_hacked.xpi to correct this problem?
