New Sync-Can't Unlink

I've followed the directions from "How to Update to the New Sync," and I cannot "Unlink Device." There's no choice, only to sign in. When I do, everything gets populated with additional old information. I don't see anywhere here to attach a Screengrab, so I'll try to replicate it as best as I can.

I'm on the Sync screen in Preferences: Create Account? Sign In Using an Older Version of Sync?

If I try Create Account, I'm just told Account already exists, if I Sign In, older information repopulates current Firefox.

I have deleted the sync from my Android.

"How to Update to the New Sync" would only apply if you are coming from Firefox 28 right now. Firefox 29 and later used the same "New Sync", especially when you have been Sync'ing an Android device on that Sync account.

You can't attach a screenshot to the first post that starts a thread, but you can do that in subsequent replies.


Do you mean that you want a fresh start with Sync and remove stored data from the past?

You can remove the Firefox account and recreate the account or change the password of the Firefox account (forgot password) to reset the Sync data.
