Thunderbird v104 Address Book

I am a long time (10+ yrs) user of Thunderbird. I recently deployed v104 on Ubuntu and find using the address book at less than half screen width difficult. Once a contact pane has been opened it covers most (all but 2+ entries) of the existing address list (see attached.) For me, this could be improved if a widget to close the contact window, otherwise I have to close and reopen the address book to clear the contact pane/window.

Is there a solution I am missing?

Hello

Selecting another list will clear this window and return to the normal list view. You could also try the Cardbook add-on where the detail is displayed to the right of the list.
