I have a Win10, HP laptop, that is about 4.5 years old now, and its C: drive crashed hard yesterday. I replaced the drive with a SSD, and now I am rebuilding everything from backups. Fortunately, I have a NAS and I am quite anal about backups, so, I did not lose anything yet.

My question is how to reconstruct Thunderbird on the new SSD such that I lose as little as possible? I've never rebuilt Thunderbird. Please help?

A pointer to an article or help would suffice. Thanks in advance.

Assuming a standard, unmodified, installation, everything was in the c:\users\<yourID>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird folder. After installing Thunderbird, copy the backup folder named Thunderbird to same location (some overwriting will happen - anticipated) and Thunderbird will start as though nothing had happened.
