My firefox browser is controlled by an organization and I don't beong to an organization.

I can't delete certificates that have authorization to change, block, reroute, access my computer hard drive, you name it. Certificates that I do remove immediately reappear.

The authority certificates are from China, Russia, and many untrustworthy locations.

It happens in Firefox focus on my Android, Firefox on my computer and it appears the spyware has access to my hard drive and phone.

How do I fix this, and can you remove this organizarion from controlling my browser?

Thank you,

Elizabeth Kiggen

There is usually no need to disable built-in root certificates (i.e. remove their trust bits, you can't remove them). The message you mention has nothing to do with the built-in certificates you mention.

Seeing the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification at the top of the Settings page can be caused by (security) software that uses GPO policy rules or uses a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the profile folder to inject their root certificate in Firefox in Firefox to be able to hook into your internet connection (ImportEnterpriseRoots) to prevent getting a connection not trusted error message.

You can click the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification or open the about:policies page to see if policies are active and if errors are reported.

The "organization" is usually third-party antivirus or security software. You can test this for yourself by uninstalling it and see if the message goes away.
