Firefox works with a proxy in my laptop. and when I try to get in to my Yahoo email account it will not let me read my emails. When I try to exit the proxy Firefox will not work.

Checking the Privoxy site, it has its own installer, so you should be able to uninstall it using the Windows control panel add/remove programs. For details of uninsalling programs in Vista see http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial141.html
