Crashing when loading files onto gmail

My Firefox crashes when I attempt to attache a file to gmail. The entire thing freezes. I assume the crash reports were sent because the instructions to submit did not necessarily resemble what I saw.

First off how big is the file and where is the file located in reference to the c:/ drive.
