I have a modern pc that can run all of the best games, but not elden ring. But that doesn't matter. I shouldn't need a super computer to use firefox. Whenever I load firefox for the first time after starting up my pc, it takes FOREVER for pages to load. I'm clearly connected to the internet. Steam, Origin, Battlenet, and Utorrent show that I'm obviously connected and THOSE PROGRAMS have no issues...so what's the issue with Firefox? Why does it only take forever when it's ran the first time after booting? If it's going to be stupid, it's not even being consistent. A completely brand new season after the initial shitfest loads everything at an instant like it's supposed to. Theoretically, there should be no difference between different sessions.

Are you allowing the computer enough time to load Windows? This takes several minutes.

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

It is possible that your security software hasn't finishes initialization and is blocking all access to internet.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox application. Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

to both of you, as I've said in my original post, other programs that use the internet load just fine. Utorrent, Battlenet, Origin, Steam, these programs are pumping away and sending and receiving packets way before firefox does anything. So your questions don't really seem relevant. Otherwise these programs would not be performing as such.
