Which "download icon" and where is it? Please be specific and include a screenshot if you can.

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Read my latest post. Download icon only works for non-private windows. Download icon is the download arrow (arrow pointed down) which is why it is called the download icon.

Download arrow still works, still has same functions as in a normal window. It is hidden as it was in a normal window.

Open a Private Browser Window then go to 3 Bar Menu then Optimize and will find the Arrow there, click to un-hide it.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Works fine here for me in a private browsing mode window. You can also try to open the about:downloads page via the location/address bar.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
