I have the latest version of Firefox and for some reason I can't complete the purchase with PayPal. PayPal window pops up with the loading circle and that's where it hangs. I left for about an hour and it was just the same circle. I contacted PayPal and they told me to use chrome or Internet Explorer. I tried both and they work flawlessly. There definitely seems to be an issue with Firefox and PayPal. It's rather annoying to have to switch browsers to buy something with PayPal. Are you working on this issue? Thank you

Issues with third party payment sites where data has to be sent back and forth often are caused by one of these:

(1) Redirect block. To clear that, either:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences

In the left column, click Advanced. Then on the right side, with the "General" mini-tab active, make sure the following is not selected (box is not checked): "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

(2) Third party cookie restriction. For more on these settings, see: Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them.

(3) Extension that filters content (e.g., ad blocker, anti-tracking, script block).

You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything that looks like it may block content in pages? You could try the Options button in that case, or Disable.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox before the change takes effect. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any improvement?

Hi ekendraed, let's continue your question over here: I am unable to open the PayPal payment page from eBay after the last update.

I was using the Dark Background and Light Text theme because my eyes are sensitive to bright screens.

I disabled the theme, restarted Firefox and retried to go to PayPal through eBay but failed once more. I got the impression that the PayPal Radio button was greyed out.

I have no issues with other browsers and had no issues with the previous versions of FireFox
