Thank you for the instruction. I'm pretty inexperienced with forums.

I was quite upset about the lost emails. I had already tried to quit Thunderbird and it was frozen. "I Force Quit" Thunderbird and then restarted my Mac. Force Quit warned me that I might lose data, but I thought that maybe the old stuff would be there. After I restarted, it was all there. Yay!
